Patrol Car Crashes In Deer-Related Incident In Bucks County: Police (Photos)

A police officer was involved in a crash due to a deer in the road in Bucks County on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to police.

The officer was driving on Galloway Road when a deer ran onto the roadway, causing a driver in another vehicle in front of the patrol car to stop abruptly, the Bensalem Police Department said in a news release. The time of the crash and its exact location was not released.

When the vehicle in front stopped, the officer managed to avoid the collision, according to police. Photos of the patrol vehicle following the crash provided by police show it over a guardrail in a ditch by the side of the road.

The officer was not injured in the crash, police said.

Daily Voice reached out to the Bensalem Police Department for more details. There was no response at press time.

The department wished to express its thanks to everyone who showed their concern for the officer's safety after hearing about the crash, according to the news release.
